Sunflower husk pellets 8mm in bags

0,00

Sunflower husk pellets are a by-product of sunflower oil production. Produced from milled husk of sunflower seeds by the method of granulation on special equipment. The main advantages are low cost, high calorific value (comparable to brown coal) and environmental friendliness. Sunflower husk pellets are widely used for boilers in industry.

Description

Benefits of sunflower husk pellets:

Calorie content. The calorific value index exceeds all firewood available in Ukraine and approaches brown coal.

Purity. Unlike coal, husk pellets contain no toxic elements and relatively little ash – about 4%. These are not premium wood pellets, in which ash is less than 1%, but not brown coal with its 30%.

Safety. One might think that fine, oil-rich fuels tend to smolder and spontaneously ignite, but this is not the case. Since grinding and granulating destroys the porous structure of the husk, oxygen access to the oil is minimal, so that the pellets do not self-ignite.

Saving. High calorific value allows you to consume fuel little by little, while maintaining the desired temperature.

Compactness. Due to their small size, pellets have a high bulk density. Durable polyethylene bags and big bags protect them from moisture and facilitate storage.

Automation. You can buy pellets from sunflower husks for a boiler with automatic fuel supply and not go near it for a week.

Price. Sunflower oil producers are interested in selling the husk cheaply, because it is too expensive to take out huge quantities of it as garbage. Therefore, the price of husk pellets is quite low.

How pellets are made from husks

1. The husk is crushed to a size of 1-2 mm in a crusher. Drying is not required because the natural humidity is usually low as it is.

2. The crushed raw material enters the granulator. There it is compressed and heated. Some lines have a mixer that moistens the husk before feeding it to the granulator. Additional glue is not needed because heating activates the natural glue lignin in the husk.

3. When the mass passes through a matrix with round holes, pellets are formed from it – cylinders 4-30 mm long and 6 or 8 mm in diameter.

4. The formed pellets are cooled and sieved to separate pieces that are not compressed well.

5. Pellets are scattered in bags or big bags so that they do not gain moisture. In this form, they are ready to be sent to customers.
Application

Industrial boilers are successfully heated with agro-pellets. Thanks to its convenient shape, it is easy to automate the supply of fuel to the furnace. For example, pellets can be used in a boiler room instead of coal.
